Step 1: Create a Kahoot account or log in to your account if you already have one.

Step 2: Click the ‘Create’ button at the top right corner. The Kahoot Creator opens on your screen after you choose the desired theme or Question Generator.

Step 3: Press the ‘Add Question’ button on the left sidebar of the Kahoot Creator.

Test Knowledge Questions

The following are the question types available at Kahoot used to test knowledge.

1. Quiz

Quiz means adding a multiple choice type question in your game or Kahoot. You can avail of the following options while adding a multiple-choice question.

3. Type Answer

There is no guessing game in the ‘Type Answer’ questions to test knowledge. The respondent is asked to type the answer best explaining the question statement. This question type to test knowledge is only available with certain plans. We suggest you look at your plan details if you want to create Type Answer questions for your quiz. The following options are available while adding a Type Answer question.

Question Length: You can add a question up to 120 characters in length in the question bar.

Time Duration: You can allow the participant 20 seconds to up to four minutes to type the correct answer.

Points of Type Answer: You can award the respondents zero to up to 2000 points for typing the correct answer.

Answer Length: The respondent can type the answer up to 20 characters and cannot include the following mentioned signs: ~ ` ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) { } [ ] ; : ” ‘ < , . > ? / \ | – _ + =

Additional Features: All the answers are displayed on the result screen with a work or home account. 4. Slider

Margin of Error: It is up to you to accept the margin of error. You can set it to none, low, medium, or high. The answers that lie in your defined margin of error will be awarded points.

Additional Features: The slider scale is auto-adjusted based on the number of input values. The value in points is also auto-adjusted for all the input values according to the predefined margin of error. 5. Puzzle

6. Quiz + Audio

Kahoot uses Microsoft Azure’s text-to-speech with up to 37 languages for Quiz + Audio questions. 5. Open Ended

Question Length: You can add a question statement of up to 120 characters long.

Time Duration: You can allow the participants to answer the open-ended questions in 2o seconds or up to four minutes.

6. Brainstorm

You can ask for votes and ideas or collect opinions from your teammates during meetings or afterward with Brainstorm questions. These questions are available only in certain plans. Time Duration: You can allow the participants to brainstorm their answers in 30 seconds to up to four minutes.

Answer Length: You can allow the participants to submit up to five responses or ideas, each up to 75 characters.

Additional Features: The submitted responses or ideas will be auto-grouped with AI. The host can ungroup and regroup the responses if the ideas are incorrectly grouped.

Vote Duration: You can allow the participants up to 180 seconds to vote for their favorite ideas, depending upon the number of presented ideas.

Voting Limit: The participants can vote for multiple ideas, and there is no limit to the number of votes per participant.

Points of Vote: The top three ideas will earn points with 1000 points per vote. However, there will be no points if you vote for your ideas.
